Extract frames from video
Grab a still out of a video — one frame for a thumbnail, or a frame every N seconds as a contact sheet. Frames are composited exactly as the preview shows them, overlays included.
Your video never leaves your device. There is no upload, no queue and no server copy. Free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no export limit.
What you can do
No engine to download
Stills are drawn straight from the video by the browser, so a single frame costs a seek rather than a 32 MB engine download.
PNG, JPG or WebP
PNG for a lossless still, JPG for the smallest file, WebP for a good middle.
Batch extraction
A frame every N seconds, delivered as a ZIP. Up to 300 frames at a time.
Overlays included
Text, filters and watermarks appear in the still, because it is the same composite as a video frame.

Questions
How do I get a single frame out of a video?
Move the playhead to the frame you want — the arrow keys step one frame at a time — then choose "Still" and "Current frame" in the export dialog.
What format should I use for a thumbnail?
JPG for a photographic frame, since the file is much smaller and the quality difference is invisible at thumbnail size. PNG if the frame contains text or flat graphics.
Can I extract every frame?
You can extract up to 300 at a time, on an interval you choose. Every frame of even a short clip runs into thousands of images, which is more than a browser can hold at once.
Do the stills include text I added?
Yes. Stills are rendered from the same composite as the video, so any text, shapes, filters or watermark appear exactly as previewed.
What resolution are the stills?
The project canvas size — the same frame you see in the preview.
