At Resizo ("we," "our," or "us"), the privacy of our visitors is of extreme importance. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under privacy laws including the GDPR and CCPA.

1. Your Images and Client-Side Processing

100% Client-Side Processing — No Upload to Servers

Resizo processes all images entirely on your client device using your web browser's HTML5 Canvas API. We do NOT upload, transmit, store, or view your images or files at any time on our servers or any third-party service. Your images remain entirely private to you. When you close your browser tab, all image data is immediately deleted from memory.

2. Information We Collect

Log Files & Analytics

Resizo uses Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the tool. We collect:

• Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
• Web browser type and version
• Operating system
• Pages visited and time spent
• Referring website URLs
• Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)

Important: This data is NOT linked to personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or payment details. IP addresses are anonymized by Google Analytics and used only to analyze aggregate trends.

Cookies

Resizo uses cookies for:

• Google Analytics tracking (to understand site usage)
• Google AdSense (to serve contextual ads)
• User preferences (e.g., dark mode selection)
• Language preferences

These cookies do not store personal data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

3. Data Retention & Analytics Storage

How Long We Keep Your Data:

• Analytics Data: Retained for 90 days by Google Analytics, then automatically deleted. We do not retain raw analytics logs.
• Cookie Data: Persists until you clear your browser cookies or until they expire (typically 1-2 years).
• Image Data: Never stored. Images are processed only in your browser and deleted when your session ends.
• Server Logs: Standard web server logs (if any) are retained for 30 days for security purposes only, then deleted.

Resizo uses the following third-party services:

• Vercel (CDN & Hosting): Hosts the website (privacy policy: Vercel Privacy Policy)

We do NOT sell, share, or transfer your data to any marketing companies or data brokers.

6. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will:

• Notify affected users within 72 hours (as required by GDPR)
• Provide details of the breach and steps taken to mitigate it
• Offer free credit monitoring if sensitive data was compromised

Given that Resizo stores no personal data (images are processed client-side only), the risk of a breach is extremely low.

7. Cookies & Opt-Out

You may opt out of analytics and advertising cookies by:

• Disabling cookies in your browser settings
• Using a browser privacy extension (e.g., uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger)
• Opting out via Google Ads Settings

8. Children's Privacy

Resizo is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover that a child has provided information, we will delete it immediately.
