What you can do

Reads what your camera produced

MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI and MKV in. MP4, WebM, GIF, MP3 and WAV out.

H.264 for compatibility

MP4 exports use H.264 and AAC — the pair that plays on essentially every device, browser and editor made this century.

Not only the container

Converting re-encodes, so you can change the resolution and quality in the same pass rather than running two tools.

No queue

Conversion sites process one job at a time and make you wait. This runs on your own hardware, so there is nobody ahead of you.

Questions

How do I convert MOV to MP4?

Drag the MOV in and export as MP4. Since both use the same underlying format, a straight conversion with no edits is often a lossless stream copy — fast and with no quality lost.

Can I convert AVI or MKV?

Yes, as long as your browser can decode the video inside. Both are containers rather than codecs, so what matters is what is in them; most modern files convert without trouble.

What is the difference between MP4 and WebM?

MP4 with H.264 plays everywhere. WebM with VP9 produces smaller files at the same quality but is not accepted by every app and device. Choose MP4 unless you know your destination takes WebM.

Can I convert a video to MP3?

Yes. Choose "Audio" in the export dialog. Every audible source in the project is mixed down, with whatever volume and fades you set.

Do you support HEVC or H.265?

Only if your browser can decode it, which varies by platform and machine. Exports are always H.264, which is the safer of the two to end up with.
